Samenvatting

Patiënten met een conversiestoornis vertonen nogal eens zeer bizarre symptomen. In deze gevalsbeschrijving worden de diagnose en behandeling van een 14-jarig meisje met een dag en nacht schuddende arm beschreven. Bij de behandeling is gebruikgemaakt van katalepsie-inductie. De behandeling was succesvol. Bij follow-up anderhalf jaar later was zij nog steeds klachtenvrij.

Summary

Some patients with conversion disorders present very bizarre symptoms. In this case history diagnosis and treatment of a 14-years-old girl are given. She is suffering from a day and night uncontrollably shaking arm. In the treatment use was made of catalepsy induction. The treatment was successful. At follow-up, one and a half year later she still had no complaints at all.
