De behandeling van een man die van zichzelf vervreemd was ...Samenvatting
In deze notitie wordt de behandeling beschreven van een man met een depersonalisatiestoornis. Vanwege de gelijkenis tussen een depersonalisatiestoornis en een angststoornis, in dit geval een paniekstoornis, is de patiënt behandeld met een aangepast cognitief-gedragstherapeutisch behandelprogramma, dat oorspronkelijk bedoeld is voor de behandeling van een paniekstoornis. De behandeling verliep succesvol, en de patiënt is na afloop van de behandeling klachtenvrij.
In this article, the treatment of a patient with depersonalisation disorder is described. Depersonalisation disorder has significant commonalities with anxiety disorders, in this case panic disorder. Therefore, the patient was treated with an adapted version of a cognitive behavioral treatment program, originally aimed at the treatment of panic disorder. The treatment was successful, and at the end of the treatment, the patient was symptom-free.
